GeoQuiz's free version uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to serve personalized ads. You will be asked for permission before any tracking occurs.

1. Overview

GeoQuiz is a geography quiz app available on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use GeoQuiz on iOS devices.

We are committed to being transparent about what data is collected and giving you full control over your privacy.

2. Data We Collect

a) Game Progress Data (stored locally on your device only)

Countries you've answered correctly or incorrectly
Your XP score and quiz progress
Daily lives count and refresh timestamps
In-App Purchase status (Premium unlock)

This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it.

b) Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — Free Version Only

The free version of GeoQuiz displays ads powered by Google AdMob. Before showing personalized ads, the app requests your explicit permission using Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.

If you allow tracking → AdMob may use your IDFA to show personalized ads and measure ad performance.
If you deny tracking → AdMob shows non-personalized ads only. Your IDFA is not used.
Premium subscribers see no ads at all.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

Your name, email address, or any account information
Your precise or approximate location
Health, financial, or sensitive personal data
Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
Device identifiers beyond what AdMob may access (with your permission)

GeoQuiz works fully offline. All quiz content (countries, flags, capitals) is bundled within the app.

4. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob — Displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads in the free version. May collect IDFA subject to your ATT permission. Privacy Policy
Apple StoreKit 2 — Processes the Premium in-app purchase. Apple manages all payment data. We never see your payment details. Privacy Policy

5. How to Opt Out of Ad Tracking

You can change your tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings. This takes effect immediately.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security.

Tap Tracking.

Find GeoQuiz in the list and toggle it off to revoke tracking permission.

You can also toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" to block all apps from requesting tracking permission.

6. Children's Privacy

GeoQuiz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you have concerns, please contact us.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Game progress is stored on your device only. To delete it:

Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → GeoQuiz → Delete App
Or simply reinstall the app

Since we store no data on our own servers, deleting the app removes all data permanently.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of GeoQuiz constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
